Research Festival Lower Austria - Event for the whole family

Forschungsfest Niederösterreich 30.9. 2 to 10 pm. at the Palais Niederösterreich, 1010 Wien

On 30 September, the Lower Austria Research Festival will take place from 2 to 10 p.m. at the Palais Niederösterreich at Herrengasse 13 in 1010 Vienna. After the two successful events in 2017 and 2019, on 30 September 2022 science enthusiasts can once again ask questions, marvel at exciting experiments and try out new things themselves with free admission. The event offers entertainment for the whole family.

Programme highlights

  • 3 p.m.: grand opening of the Lower Austrian Research Festival with stage show
  • Afternoon: various science slams
  • 8 pm: Werner Gruber (founder of the Science Busters) "How does science create knowledge?"
  • Riddle rally for different age groups (8-10 years and 11-14 years) with small prizes
  • Photo corner
  • Science educators with live experiments to participate in, especially for children, such as:
    • Station: Tesla coil
    • Station: cloud chamber
    • Station: Chain reaction
    • Station: Physical toys
    • Station: Witch's potion/dry ice

Raffle

In the course of the Research Festival Lower Austria there is a raffle where you can win the following prizes:

  • 2x an iPad
  • 3x a digital microscope with up to 500x magnification + the book "WAS IST WAS Band 8 Mikroskop. What remains hidden to the eye".
  • 5x experimental kits
  • 12x science books
  • 5x 2 combination tickets for the MAMUZ Castle Asparn/Zaya & the MAMUZ Museum Mistelbach
