The now 11th conference volume documents the Symposium Dürnstein 2022, which took place on the topic CLIMATE - Seismograph for Nature & Society from March 24 - 26 in Dürnstein in Lower Austria. It contains all lectures and discussions of this event.
The Symposium Dürnstein sees itself as an international exchange of ideas, as a place where people with different views, attitudes, religions and world views can meet each other for exchange and discourse. It takes place annually on a different topic. The Symposium Dürnstein 2022 focused on the current “age of crisis”: human activities are upsetting the geo-climate, but also the social and spiritual climate. Experts from various disciplines discussed current developments and possible exit strategies. What are the perspectives for the climate we all live in and with? The range of topics included geoengineering as well as nature conservation, alternative consumption networks, ethics, spatial and urban development, religion and philosophy.
The upcoming Symposium Dürnstein 2023 will be held March 23-25, 2023, under the title “The Brain and Its Society.”
