Endowed professorships

Endowed professorships and funded competence teams strengthen the research structures at Lower Austrian locations of colleges and universities and sustainably establish specific research topics and competencies in the fields of action of the RTI Strategy Lower Austria 2027. The Gesellschaft für Forschungsförderung NÖ is responsible for the organizational management of the endowed professorships and competence teams funded by the state of Lower Austria. This includes setting up and handling ongoing monitoring as well as coordinating regular content-related and financial evaluations by external experts.

Evaluations

The Gesellschaft für Forschungsförderung NÖ organizes professional and financial evaluations for endowed professorships, funded competence teams and scientific projects in the interest areas of the state of Lower Austria. A central task is the establishment of an independent and transparent evaluation procedure as well as objective support during the process.

ECOnet

The ECOnet project establishes an international, inter- and transdisciplinary as well as interuniversity research and teaching cooperation for economic and political development in rural areas.

The sustainable development of rural areas is a major concern for the state of Lower Austria. To promote this sustainable development, the
International research and teaching cooperation (ECOnet) was founded for the development of rural areas with a focus on economics and political science. The Gesellschaft für Forschungsförderung NÖ handles the funding.

University of Applied Sciences Funding

On behalf of the Lower Austrian Health and Social Fund (NÖGUS), the Gesellschaft für Forschungsförderung NÖ handles the University of Applied Sciences (UAS) funding for the UAS degree programs in the non-medical health sector. Statistical surveys and an annual student survey enable a comprehensible documentation of the study programs at the FH St. Pölten, FH Wr. Neustadt as well as IMC FH Krems.
